3. THE RAJA'S DREAM Class- VIII

  A. WARMER

Have you ever had a funny strange dream? Share it with your classmates. Tell them if it had any connection with reality.

Raja Krishna Chandra often heard his courtiers complaining that Gopal loved to make everyone appear like a fool. There was hardly anyone in the court who had not at one time or another tried to get their backs at Gopal दरबार में शायद ही कोई ऐसा व्यक्ति था जिसने कभी न कभी गोपाल से बदला लेने  की कोशिश न की हो, but always ended up looking like utter idiots. The Raja knew that this was true.

It often rankled him that without uttering a single objectionable word यह अक्सर उन्हें खटकता था कि एक भी आपत्तिजनक शब्द बोले बिना the jester had made him feel silly more than once. So one day Krishna Chandra decided to amuse himself by baiting Gopal.

"Ah, Gopal, I have had a strange dream","आह, गोपाल, मैंने एक अजीब सपना देखा है", announced the Raja the next day as soon as he saw Gopal in the court. And everyone fell silent in order to listen to the king's dream.

"I dreamt Gopal that you and I were going for a walk and we reached a place where there were two pools." One of the pools was filled with kheer made of rich thick milk and the other full of horribly smelly dung. Suddenly, I fell into the milky pool and you into rotting muck. On hearing this, the courtiers burst out laughing. They obviously relished the thought of the jester covered from head to toe in muck.

Gopal stood unruffled, waiting for everyone to finish laughing गोपाल बेफिक्र/ चुपचाप खड़ा होकर सबकी हंसी खत्म होने का इंतजार कर रहा था and then surprised everyone by telling the king with great humility that he had exactly the same dream. The king looked questioningly at Gopal and asked, राजा ने प्रश्नवाचक दृष्टि से गोपाल की ओर देखा और पूछा, "You mean everything happened in your dream just the way they happened in mine?"

My dream continued a little longer. I saw both of us coming out of the pool." You covered in kheer and I covered in muck आप खीर से ढके हुए थे और मैं कीचड़ में ढंका हुआ था and then I saw that you were licking me and I was licking you और फिर मैंने देखा कि आप मुझे चाट रहे थे और मैं आपको चाट रहा था in order to clean each other एक दूसरे को साफ करने के लिए।

The courtiers almost chocked when they heard this. But unfortunately for everyone, the king was in a good mood लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से सभी के लिए, राजा एक अच्छे मूड में था and did not mind his legs being pulled a little. In fact, he had a good laugh at Gopal's wit.
