the rain begins after April hence the poet says ‘merry’ to month of April. In
India there is summer in month of April.

Why does the poet regard escaping from rain as vain?
Answer: Poet says that escaping from the rain is like escaping from the
vain which means escaping is meaningless cause the shower will catch you hence
the poet regard escaping from rain as vain.

During rain the poet doesn’t get any shelter. Still, he doesn’t complain. Why?
Answer: The poet is enjoying the rain and peeping sunbeam and the in such
situation though he doesn’t find any shelter but still he doesn’t complain
