What worlds of wonder are our books!

हमारी किताबों कि कितनी आश्चर्य की दुनिया हैं!

As one opens them and looks,

 जैसे ही कोई उन्हें खोलता है और देखता है,

New ideas and people rise 

नए विचार और लोग उभर आते हैं

 In our fancies and our eyes. 

हमारी कल्पनाओं और हमारी आंखों में ।

The room we sit in melts away, 

जिस कमरे में हम बैठते हैं वह पिघल जाता है, 

 And we find ourselves at play 

और हम खुद को खेलते हुए पाते हैं, 

With someone who, before the end.

 किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति के साथ , जो अंत से पहले होता है।

May become our chosen friend. 

हमारा चुना हुआ दोस्त बन सकता है.

Or we sail along the page 

या हम पृष्ठ के साथ आगे बढ़ते हैं

To some other land or age.

किसी अन्य देश या युग के लिए। 

Here's our body in the chair,

यहां हमारा शरीर कुर्सी पर है,

But our mind is out there.

लेकिन हमारा दिमाग वहां से बाहर है।

Each book is a magic box 

प्रत्येक पुस्तक एक जादू का बक्सा है 

Which with a touch a child unlocks.

जिसे एक स्पर्श से बच्चा खोल देता है।

In between their outside covers,

 अपने बाहरी आवरणों के बीच 

Books hold all things for their lovers.

 किताबें आपने प्रेमियों के लिए सब कुछ रखती हैं।
