13. My Shodow

A. WARMER 1. Have you ever seen your shadow? What do you notice about it? 2. Is your shadow always of the same length on different times of the day?

I have a little shadow that goes

in and out with me.

मेरी एक छोटी छाया है जो मेरे साथ अंदर और बाहर जाती है।

And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.

उसका क्या उपयोग किया जा सकता है मेरे देख सकने से ज्यादा।

He is very, very like me from the

heels up to the head;

वह पूरी तरह से सर से पांव तक मेरे जैसी है।

 

 

And I see him jump before me,

when I jump into my bed.

और उसे उछलते हुए देखता हूं जब मैं अपने बिस्तर पर उछलता हुं।

The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow

उसके संबध में सबसे ज्यादा मज़दार चीज़ है जिस तरीके से बढ़ती है।

Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow,

किसी भी कीमत पर छोटे बच्चों की तरह नहीं, जो हमेशा बहुत धीमी होती है।

For he sometimes shoots up taller like an

India- rubber ball,

कभी कभी वह भारतीय रबड़ बॉल की तरह लंबा बढ़ता है,

And he sometimes gets so little that

there's none of him at all.

कभी कभी इतना छोटा हो जाता है कि वहां कोई नहीं।

 

One morning, very early, before the

Sun I was up,

एक सुबह, बहुत जल्दी, मैं सूर्योदय से पहले जगा,

I rose and found the shining dew

on every buttercup,

मैं जगा और पाया प्रत्येक नन्हे पीले फूलों पर चमकता हुआ ओस,

But my lazy little shadow, like an

arrant sleepy head 

लेकिन मेरा कामचोर छोटा छाया , एक बदमाश सोने वाला,

Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed.

मेरे पीछे घर पर रह गया, और गहरी नींद में सो गया था।
