SOUND BY RAJANI PARULEKAR
A tree in the woods is hacked
Its branch breaking away
what do the halves
whisper to each other?
Do they moan and groan
In the heart of their hearts?
And do these logs driven from each other
Reminisce?
Do they remember how the wind tossed
them?
How they got drenched in the rain?
And the blossoms in the spring
And the fall in autumn?
Oh! But the wind knows.
The wind blowing with a din
In places forlorn Sings such songs
Those
songs not all could praise
Many
a man is blunt, अधिकांश
He
doesn't even sense
The
Even
in simple words!
What
then of these songs
They
are just sounds वे बस ध्वनियाँ
हैं
Such
sounds as would be choked to death.

SOUND BY RAJANI PARULEKAR
SUMMARY : Sound By Rajani Parulekar
The
poem 'Sound' is taken from Indian literature which is written by a Marathi
poetess Rajani Parulekar. In this poem the poet has described the importance of
trees in our life. We have need of trees in our life. The trees take the Carbon
dioxide gases which are inhaled by the human beings. Tree here most important
role in our life. The balance of environment is due to trees. But our
selfishness we are cutting the trees badly and inviting the global unbalancing. Our selfishness is so great that
we do not feel any kind of pain, mean and groom of the trees.
The
trees struggle themselves against the winds, rains and summers and then get
their blossoms in the spring. But we human beings do not feel the pain of the
trees and never remember the struggle of them. We agony them as cutting. We
know it that trees have most important role in our breathing and balancing of
poisonous gases in the environment. And knowing the truth we are cutting trees
and never hear the painful sound of the trees.
