2. NALANDA ANCIENT SEAT OF LEARNING

RAJENDRA PRASHAD (1884- 1962), राजेन्द्र प्रसाद (1884 -1962) born in Zeradei, Bihar, बिहार के जीरादेई में पैदा हुए  was the first President of the Republic of India. भारतीय गणराज्य के पहले राष्ट्रपति थे।  As President राष्ट्रपति के रूप में he has moderating influence on the political thinking of the periodउन्होंने उस दौर के राजनितिक सोच पर प्रभाव डाला . He also shared Gandhi’s great visionउन्होंने गांधीजी के महान  दृष्टिकोण को भी साझा किया - the making of a new man in society समाज में एक नए व्यक्ति के निर्माण  . A living embodiment of plain living and high thinking सादा जीवन और उच्च विचार के , जीवित अवतार थे , Dr Prashad was a stateman, scholar, historian, educationist, lofty idealist, social reformer and above all , great constructive thinker.डॉ. प्रसाद एक राजनेता , विद्वान् , इतिहासकार , शिक्षाविद , उदार आदर्श वादी , समाज सुधारक और  इन सबसे ऊपर एक महान रचनात्मक विचारक थे.

The speech 'Nalanda: Ancient Seat of Learning; "नालंदा एंसीऐंट सीट ऑफ़ लर्निंग" भाषण, taken from Speeches of President Rajendra Prashad Vol-I, राष्ट्रपति राजेंद्र प्रसाद खंड 1 से लिया गया है, was delivered by Dr Rajendra Prashad at the foundation- stone-laying ceremony of Maghad Research Institute, Nalanda, on November20, 1951 जो 20 नवंबर 1951 को नालंदा के मगध शोध संस्थान के शिलान्यास समारोह में डॉ राजेंद्र प्रसाद के द्वारा दिया गया था. In this speech, इस भाषण में, Dr. Prashad enunciates the past glory of the Nalanda University डॉ प्रसाद नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय के पिछले गौरव को व्यक्त करते हैं, and pleads for its revival और इसके पुनरुद्धार के लिए निवेदन करते हैं.
