Stanza1:-
"Three years she grew in sun and shower Then nature said "A lovelier flower
On earth was never shown;
This child I to myself will take;
She said be mine and I will make
A lady of my own"
In the first stanza the poet telling us the story of a girl called Lucy.
He said that Lucy grey of in the midst of all weathers for 3 years.
Then the nature noticed that Lucy was the loveliest child born on the earth.
Nature expressed her desire to adopt Lucy as her own child. She was to bring her up on care and supervision. Nature wanted to educate her own way.
Stanza 2:-
In the second stanza the poet describing the natural plan to bring up Lucy in her own care.
The poet says that nature expressed her desire to impose her restraining and inspiring influence over Lucy. Nature decided that Lucy would wonder and roam at her in the midst of mountains and plains on the earth and the heaven.
