5. I have several pet animals and birds मेरे पास अनेक पालतू जानवर और चिड़ियाँ थे and all of them are quite fond of me उनमे से सभी मुझे बिल्कुल पसंद करते थे. I don’t remember any of them daring to eat from my plate Gillu was an exception. I would reach the dining-room मै dinning room में पहुँचती  , he would emerge from the window,वह खिड़की से आकर शामिल हो जाता  cross over the courtyard wall and the verandah आंगन की दीवार और वरांडा को पार करते हुएreach the table मेज तक पहुचता and would want to sit in my plate और मेरे प्लेट में बैठना चाहता . With great difficultyबड़ी कठिनाई से I taught him to sit close to my plateमै उसे  प्लेट के नजदीक बैठना सिखा पायी .

His favourite food was Kaju उसका पसंदीदा भोजन काजू था when not available for several days, जब कई दिनों तक उपलब्ध नही होता था he would refuse other food items तो वह अन्य खाद्य सामग्रियों को मना कर देता and threw them down from the swing. झूले से उन्हें नीचे फेक देता, Around that time, उसी दौरान being injured in a motor car accident मोटर कार दुर्घटना के दौरान, I had to spend some days in the hospital Those days, whenever my room was opened, Gillu would rush down from his swingगिल्लू अपने पिजरे से तेजी से नीचे उतरता but on seeing somebody else लेकिन किसी अन्य को देखकर, he would, with the same alacrity वह उसी उत्साह के साथscuttle back to sit in his nest वापस दौड़ कर अपने पिजड़े में बैठ जाता. Everyone would offer him Kaju सब लोग उसे काजू देते , but when I cleaned up his swing लेकिन जब मैंने पिजड़े को साफ की on my return from the hospital हॉस्पिटल से लौटने के बाद , I discovered it was full of Kaju मैंने पाया की यह काजू से भरा हुआ था , which only showed how little he was eating his favorite food those days! During the course of my indisposition, मेरी अस्वस्थता के के दौरान  he would sit near my head on my pillow वह मेरी सिर के पास तकिये पर बैठता and gently stroke my forehead and hair,और साधारण रूप से मेरे सिर और बालों को दबाता  and his moving away was like the going away of a nurse or attendant!

The claws were getting so cold that I switched on the heater  मैंने हीटर चालू किया and tried to give him some warmth और उसे कुछ गर्मी देने का प्रयास . But, as the first ray of the morning touched him, he departed

His swing was taken off the hook and the opening made in the wire- mesh window was closed. Gillu was put to eternal rest under the Sonjuhi creeper-both, गिल्लू को संजुही लता  के नीचे दफना दिया गया  because he over this creeper most  क्योंकि वह इस लता को बहुत प्यार करता था and also because of the satisfaction. I derive from my belief that  मैंने अपने विश्वास से निष्कर्ष निकाला की some spring day I will find him flowering and blossoming in the guise of a tiny yellow Juhi flower!
