Several people live in your neighbourhood. Sometimes the situation gets tense. People quarrel petty issues. It leads to dispute.

How does it affect people in the locality?

how is it resolved?

Discuss these questions with you classmates.

Ans. When people quarrel on petty issues it disturbs the peace and harmony of the locality. It is  only resolved when some elderly person interfere into  the matter.

Ivan was a farmer who lived in a village in Russia युवान एक किसान था जो रूस के एक गांव में रहता था. He was rich वह धनी था. He had three who were laborious. उनके तीन बेटे थे जो मेहनती थे। His father was old and sick.  उसके पिता बूढ़े और बीमार थे ।

Gabriel was his neighbour. गबरील उसका पड़ोसी था। They were good neighbours, वे लोग अच्छे पड़ोसी थे. They were happy and comfortable with each other. वे एक दूसरे के साथ खुशी से और आराम से रहते थे।

Ivan had some hens. युवान को कुछ मुर्गियां थी,  One day a hen flew across the fence. एक दिन एक मुर्गी चारदीवारी को पार कर गई। She laid an egg in Gabriel's house. गैबरील के घर में अंडा दे दिया । Ivan's daughter-in-law went to his house to inquire into the matter. युवान की पुत्रवधू मामले की जांच करने के लिए उसके घर गई, Gabriel's mother replied rudely. गैबरियल की मां ने गुस्सा से जवाब दिया, It led to a quarrel. Soon, इससे जल्द ही झगड़ा शुरू हो गया, Ivan, Gabriel and their wives started quarrelling,  युवान, गबरिल और उसकी पत्नियां झगड़ा करना शुरू कर दी, Their neighbours had to intervene to pacify them. उनके पड़ोसियों को उन्हें शांत करने के लिए बीच-बचाव करना पड़ा।

But their quarrel did not stop. लेकिन उनका झगड़ा नहीं रुका, Ivan uprooted Gabriel's beard युवान ने गैबरियल की दाढ़ी उखाड़ ली,. Gabriel went to court by bus गबरील बस से कोर्ट गया but Ivan went there by train. लेकिन युवान वहां बस से गया They both filed a case. दोनों ने मामला दर्ज करवाया, The hearing prolonged. लंबे समय तक सुनवाई जारी रहे, It ruined them financially. इसने उन्हें आर्थिक रूप से बर्बाद कर दिया,  They had no peace. उन्हें शांति नहीं थी, They were not happy now. वे अब खुश नहीं थे।

Ivan's father who was old and wise, did not like it. इवान के पिताजी जो बूढ़े और बुद्धिमान थे वह इसे पसंद नहीं करते, He asked them to forgive each other and forget the old dispute, उन्होंने उन लोगों से एक दूसरे को माफ करने और पुराने विवाद को भूलने के लिए कहा. He asked them, "Why are you quarrelling over an egg?  उन्होंने उनसे कहा तुम लोग एक अंडे के लिए क्यों झगड़ रहे हो What's its value? इसकी क्या कीमत है? Hatred breeds hatred. घृणा घृणा को जन्म देती है, In anger you don't know what you are saying and doing. क्रोध में तुम नहीं जानते हो कि तुम क्या कर रहे हो और क्या कह रहे हो. You lose your patience and wisdom. तुम लोग अपनी अपना धैर्य और बुद्धिमानी खो चुके हो, It sometimes leads to destruction. यह कभी-कभी बर्बादी की ओर ले जाता है।"

The old man's advice worked. बूढ़े आदमी कि सलाह काम कर गया, Ivan and Gabriel were reconciled. ईवान और गैब्रिल ने समझौता किये,  They began to live together वे लोग एक साथ रहना शुरू कर दिया,

They were very happy now. once again. एक बार फिर वे अब खुश थे।
