Line by line Hindi of this Poem:

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, 

Close bosom- friend of the maturing sun:
Conspiring with him how to load and bless

With fruit the vines that round the thatch- eaves run;

To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,

And fill all fruit with ripness to the core;

    to swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells 

With a sweet kernel;  to set budding more, 

And still more, later flowers for fthe bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease, 
For Summer has O' er - brimm'd their clammy cells.

यह मौसम पत्तों तथा फलों का होता है। पतझड़ अपने जिगरी दोस्त सूर्य के साथ मिलकर एक साजिश रचता है कि किस प्रकार सभी पेड़-पौधों को फलों से लाद दिया जाए तथा उनके इर्द-गिर्द बेलें लिपटा दी जाएँ। वह कटिज़ पेड़ को सेवों के बोझ से झुका देना चाहते हैं और सभी फलों को पूरी तरह से पका देना चाहते हैं। पतझड़ सूरज के साथ मिलकर छोटे मेवों को फूलने तथा एकने में मदद करता है। कर्नेल के सुन्दर पेड़ पर भी फूल उगते हैं ताकि मधुमक्खियों को महसूस हो कि गर्मी का मौसम कभी खत्म नहीं होगा क्योंकि गर्मी उनके छोटे-छोटे कणों को फलने-फूलने में मदद करती है।

Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store? 

Some times whoever seeks abroad may find 

thee sitting careless on a granary floor.
The hair soft - lifted by the winnowing wind,
Or on a half -reap'd furrow sound asleep, 
 Drowsed with the fume of poppies, while thy hook 
Spares the next swath and all its twined flowers: 
And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep 
Steady thy laden head across a brook; 
Or by a cider -press, with patient look,
Thou watchest the last oozings hours by hours.

किसने तुम्हें घान रखने वाली जगहों पर नहीं देखा है। कई बार लोगों ने तुम्हें अनाज की कोठरी में आराम करते हुए पाया है,

तुम्हारे मुलायम बालों को हवा में उड़ते देखा है या फिर कई बार तुम्हें पौपी बीज की खुशबू में मन्त्रमुग्ध होते हुए देखा है। तुम

कभी झरनों के आसपास पेड़ों पर लदे फूल-पत्तों में नजर आते हो तो कभी सिडार के नजदीक खड़े होकर धैर्य के साथ वक्त

को गुजरते हुए देखते हो तथा पेड़ों से टपकती पानी की बूँदों को घंटों तक निहारते रहते हो।

 While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day
And touch bthe stubble -plains with rosy hue;
 Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river sallows, borne aloft
and full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge- crickets sing;and now with trble soft
The red breast whistles from a garden - croft;

And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.

 बसन्त के गीत कहाँ हैं। अरे वे कहाँ हैं? उनके बारे में मत सोचो क्योंकि उनका संगीत तुम्हारे पास भी है। तुम दिन के समाप्त होने के साथ-साथ पूरी धरती को खूबसूरत रंगों से ढंक देते हो। उस समय बीमारी वाले पीले रंग के छोटे-छोटे मच्छर झुंड बनाकर रोते हैं तथा नदी के भूरे पानी के ऊपर हल्की हवा के साथ बहते हुए जीते या मरते हैं। भेड़ें पहाड़ी भूमि पर खड़ी होकर जोर की आवाज करती हैं, कीट-पतंगे कर्कश स्वर में गाते हैं तथा कहीं बगीचे में रॉबिन पक्षी सीटी जैसी आवाज निकालता है। तथा आकाश में पक्षी इकट्ठे होकर चहचहाते हैं।
